Fosroc UK increases its bagged powder production capacity
Fosroc United Kingdom are proud to announce successful commissioning of the upgraded powder plant at the Tamworth site.
The introduction of cutting-edge technology with the installation of the new Payper bagging unit will give a three-fold increase in packaging capacity to meet the growing demands for Conbextra, Cemtop and Renderoc products. A modern control system has brought increased efficiency to improve product availability and customer service, as well as providing a cleaner work environment for the production team.
As part of the upgrade and in response to customer demand, plastic bags have been replaced with paper valve sacks, making the packaging more durable, easier to handle and to palletise. The new paper bags offer reduced environmental impact and enhanced protection to the powder material.
Wayne Zakers, Fosroc Regional Vice President in Europe, praised the project and production team, and commented “This significant investment in the Tamworth factory shows our shareholders’ long-term commitment to our customers and to the construction industry in the UK. This facility will enhance responsiveness to the increasing local demand for Fosroc products, mirroring Group investment in other established sites and construction of new facilities across the globe. With our on going upgrade to all European production plants, we fully intend to continue growing the platform to meet the rising demands.”
