Fosroc advances sustainability journey with PAS 2080:2023 compliance

Fosroc is taking a major step forward in its sustainability journey by working towards PAS 2080:2023 compliance, reinforcing its commitment to tackling the carbon challenge across the built environment.

PAS 2080, the global standard for carbon management in infrastructure, provides a consistent framework for organisations to measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions across the whole lifecycle of a built asset. By adopting this framework, Fosroc is ensuring it can play an active role in enabling the transition to low-carbon infrastructure, while fostering collaboration across the supply chain.

The accreditation process began in 2023, and in 2024 Fosroc introduced a dedicated Carbon Team to the UK & Ireland business. This team has been established to drive the company’s carbon management strategy and to embed PAS 2080:2023 principles into core business operations. Working in partnership with key industry stakeholders, including National Highways and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), the Carbon Team is building strong foundations for long-term impact.

By aligning to PAS 2080:2023, Fosroc is not only meeting the expectations of clients and regulators but also helping to shape a more sustainable future for infrastructure delivery. The benefits go beyond compliance — reducing carbon also helps to cut costs, drive innovation, and support the resilience of projects over their full lifecycle.
