THE PROJECT
The IIT Hyderabad built on an area of 576 acres property, will accommodate approximately 30,000 people that includes 20,000 students. It has a built up area of 2.1 million sq.m. The growth of the campus is planned in phases. At present L&T working on its development.
This Phase-II project of IIT Hyderabad has a knowledge center, research center, technology incubation park, a sports and cultural complex, an international guest house, a convention center and the chemistry labs.
THE SOLUTION
Fosroc team worked out the detailed proposal for waterproofing of the various facilities offering Nitocote CM210 for the concrete retaining walls, Nitoproof 600PF ideal for the large roofs and Brushbond RFX for toilets and wet areas.
SITE SUPPORT
Tight site-specifications, detailed CAD drawings and application method statements and application support for Nitoproof 600PF is currently in progress on the roofs.
Polyurea WH 200 application is yet to begin on certain inaccessible roofing portions. Both the waterproofing systems are spray-applied, which is being closely monitored.
L&T is the contractor, while the consultant is CPWD.
