Coca-Cola operates a plant in Dasna, and the company was looking to install a tough and durable floor that could withstand impact and abrasion on top of the aged existing concrete surface.
THE PROJECT
Coca-Cola operates a plant in Dasna, U.P, the plant needed a refurbishment of its concrete with tough and durable flooring treatment overlay, which could withstand impact and abrasion. Nitoflor SL3000 UT was suggested and laid in the production and bottling areas, which are frequently subjected to heavy trolley movement and impact from filled glass bottles. Since the factory is in the beverage industry, hygiene and cleanability was an important requirement.
THE SOLUTION
The concrete floor in this unit was very old and had experienced heavy wear and tear, with multiple cracks and other mechanical damage. Thorough surface preparation was carried out and all cracks and damage were properly addressed. The tensile strength of the concrete was also checked. Fosroc executed the project meticulously by installing a 4mm thick Nitoflor SL3000 UT, the cementitious polyurethane floor topping system.
