Fosroc Achieves US FED SPEC Certification

Fosroc has attained US FED SPEC SS-S-200E certification for its Thioflex 555 fast curing pavement sealant.

The US FED SPEC SS-S-200E is recognised worldwide as one of the most relevant performance standards for airport pavement joint sealing. To achieve this certification the sealant must pass many individual tests that relate to its service life environment for airport pavement joint sealing such as:

• Bond to concrete when immersed in fuel
• Flame resistance
• Weathering
• Resilience
• Change in mass after fuel immersion
• Change in volume at elevated temperatures
