Job Description

  • To lead regional sales team, implement sales & commercial strategies to achieve region strategic objectives including delivery of sales plans.
  • To achieve margin & collection targets , driving performance management across sales  teams, plan and achieve Segment wise sales  at region  Level with focus on driving Profitable segments
  • Driving high level of engagement with the Customers and also the technical community including Opinion makers for the longer term strategic goals of the company

To plan and roll out all training programs at region level to Improve Knowledge and skills of sales team & Applicators.

Role Description

Key Areas of Responsibility

ESSENTIAL

¨

Implement region Sales Strategy and business plans in accordance with the directives of the NSM plan

¨

Ensure appropriate staffing based on approved HR template, selecting and retaining the right talent with appropriate performance management measures, training and development plans

¨

Delivery of the region project sales budgets in accordance with approved budget plans

¨

Delivery of the region margin targets of projects in line with approved budget plan

¨

Achieve NIL overdue > 10 days through appropriate credit review, trade agreements, and follow-ups with Customers through the sales teams including Debt Collectors. Develop and implement best practice in credit terms & debt recovery from customers

¨

Ensure Portfolio selling across the regions/sales teams, with emphasis on technical training and functional development of both functional skills and soft skills.

¨

Empower Area sales managers/Zonal managers/Business development Managers  with appropriate decision making capability, and leading the change to high performing sales team

¨

Maximise sales returns by using different channels to market (specification sales, project distributors, applicators, relationship sales etc.) and format a clear strategy of how these channels complement each other.

¨

Develop and implement best practice in sales contracts including discounts, warranties, & other such liabilities in the sales arena.

¨

Ensure that sales plans and objectives are integrated with supply chain and production plans. through the SOP process.

¨

Implement HR procedures across the sales function to ensure that performance of all staff is managed and continuous review process is in place and rigorously carried out all levels.

SECONDARY

¨

Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.

¨

Enhance, build & maintain long term relationships with users / consultants and other influencers within the industry for enhancing product image and preferred partner status.

¨

Timely reporting of Market opportunity, market insight, trends and analysis.

Key Skills and Experiences

Strong, open, engaging and inspiring leadership & interpersonal skills gained in >15 years Construction chemicals experience

Fluency in English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Managed sales team

Fluency in local regional language

Diploma or BE in Civil Engineering
