Job Description

  • Manage manufacturing activities and processes for the plant. Ensure OTIF, First pass rates, and OT are managed to meet/exceed target levels.  Lead production operators to achieve these tasks.

  • Plan and maintain production safety guideline and regulations for factory workers; set example for safety.

  • Set continuous improvement culture with objectives and train the team on executing these improvements.

  • Measure the production progress established by a set of performance standards; explain variances to plan.

  • Recognize and solve problems affecting production including schedules, staff discipline, quality and orders.

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to the down lines in the process and system improvement and trouble-shooting

  • Implement a program of preventive/predictive maintenance w/calibration for all production & warehouse equipment machines

  • Accountable and responsible for the manufacturing activities covering production, maintenance, machine trouble shooting and internal projects in the company

  • Ensure all manufacturing activities of production planning, scheduling, mrp, and maintenance are performed.

  • Ensure manufacturing activities are fully compliant with company HSE policy and procedures

  • Take lead in process improvement projects related to manufacturing processes (with assistance of process engineer)

  • Participate and champion the root cause analysis for complaints/quality issues related to manufacturing activities.

  • Coordinate the handling and organize relevant internal projects; continuous improvement to manufacturing and warehousing processes.

  • Ensure good, clean and safe working environment in the factory by implementing the basic requirements outlined in the respective municipal regulations and government legislation.  A 5S environment and approach.

  • Ensure strict adherence and implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental System  in the operations activities according to requirements as specified in the Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedure of the Company.

  • Accountable and coordinate all maintenance activities in the factory and office premise.

  • Perform DAX reporting as assigned which related to production

  • Develop a training program to train people to improve knowledge and skills.

Role Description

  • To ensure production planning, maintenance activities and production processes are at optimum level in order to produce good quality product with minimal waste and at optimum cost to meet OTIF.
  • Take a continuous improvement approach to manufacturing processes to ensure output/mhr improves and product quality meets specifications. 
  • Remove waste from processes. 
  • Manage day-to-day productions’ activities, plant’s machinery and equipment trouble-shooting and preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure high productivity and cost efficiency in the operations department. 
  • Enforce and ensure adherence of safety guideline and regulations for factory workers.

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a manufacturing / operations environment related to Chemical Industry.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as an Production Manager in similar industry.
  • Strong leadership with excellent ability to prioritize resource and workload based on data and good judgment.
