Job Description

  • To ensure that the predetermined sales,  gross profitability and growth objectives of the Cement Industry Division are achieved or exceeded.

  • To monitor the division’s performance against the objectives on a regular basis and to recommend and implement corrective actions on any negative variations thereof.

  • To supervise, guide, motivate and develop the Cement Industry Sales Engineer & Technician towards greater efficiency and performance.

  • To initiate and spearhead new product development and tweaking of existing products to improve sales and profitability.

  • To ensure the availability of stocks and to closely gear the stock position to the actual needs of the market.

  • To ensure the efficient control and collection of trade debts from division customers.

  • To ensure a high level of market penetration and coverage and also an adequate level of customer, technical and after sales service.

  • To collect and analyse basic market information particularly market trends and competitors’ activities in the Cement Industry Market.

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Degree in Chemical/ Process Engineering or atleast professional certificate in Sales Management is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years experiences in Cement Industry and process engineering.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgement and the ability to lead in a teamwork environment are essential.
  • Able to work with people of various levels and of different cultures.
  • Can work independently with minimum supervision and meet date line.
  • Good knowledge in HSE and ISO 9001  & ISO 14001.
  • Can work under pressure and meet deadline
