Job Description :
• To develop product specifications for Fosroc Guangzhou Limited, targeting design institutes, architects, engineers, clients and public bureaus. • To provide product technical or site support to the sales team resolving problems of offer solutions to customers. • To provide tendering assistance to the sales teams when Fosroc Guangzhou Limited is pursuing tenders. • To provide marketing support for the sales teams operating in China. o Preparation and maintenance of marketing collaterals including datasheets, method statements, brochures, job references etc in English and Chinese. o Market research and analysis to estimate the demand for new products or revised specifications for existing products. o Increasing market awareness of Fosroc and the Fosroc Brand in China. o Co-ordination with the corporate central marketing for the launch of any new products in line with corporate objectives and develop and implement a comprehensive launch plan if necessary. o Coordinate the local input to the Fosroc China website ensuring that the information is kept up to date and that is relevant to the needs of the users.

Role Description :
Take personal responsibility for HSE for yourself, Fosroc stakeholders and other parties affected by our business. The scope of this includes, but is not limited to: personal conduct, product recommendations, and site activities. Assist the sales team with technical support in proposing constructive solutions for customer problems, proposing Fosroc alternatives to specified competitor products. Develop good relationships within Design Institutes and Consulting Engineers in order to create product specifications. Actively acquire a thorough understanding of Fosroc products, their features, properties, applications and application methods through training and self-learning. Assist the sales teams to prepare tendering documents as when required. Participate in sales & marketing initiatives, as defined by management. Collect market intelligence, competitor intelligence and provide analysis. Collect new product ideas/opportunities from the market and the sales team and make recommendations to the Management. Prepare and maintain sales collaterals marketing support materials, e.g. datasheets, MSDS, technical submission documents, method statements and case histories etc. Produce marketing promotional documents such as product brochures, website news, and flyers as defined by management. Maintain corporate image on all sales & marketing collaterals. Organize internal staff (sales & specification) to attend regular relevant technical events organized by external parties within the industry for training or networking. Deliver product trainings to sales staff as and when required. Prepare a monthly activities report.

Key Skills and Experience :
ESSENTIAL A basic understanding of construction materials & practice. Excellent communication skills. An innovative thinker who can maintain a good sense of humour even whilst working under pressure. A high standard of personal and business conduct and ethics. Good time management and work prioritisation skills. Commitment to excellent customer service, internally and externally. Good English skills, both written and spoken. DESIRABLE Energy, dynamism and enthusiasm. Previous working experience within the construction industry. Knowledge of computer software packages, e.g. PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD or alike. Previous experience in specification selling. Good copywriting skills.
