Task
Fosroc Malaysia was required to propose and supply a solution to prevent passage
of water vapour though the structure’s ground slab and a resin flooring system
that would meet the ‘Good Manufacturing Practice’ (GMP) standards
Constructive Solution

Fosroc Malaysia worked with a local architect and the turnkey contractor M/s M +
W Zander Germany to specify and subsequently apply a bonded vapour
barrier system (area 170,000m²) beneath the ground floor slab

This solution consisted of;

A layer of Fosroc Proofex
Geomembrane (0.3mm high density PVC sheet)
-
2.0mm thick Fosroc Proofex
SM (spray applied, fast cure elastic membrane)

And lastly, protected and bonded with a layer of Fosroc Scrim 2220
(125gm/m² geotextile)

A functional floor that meets the GMP standards (required for products manufactured
for export market)

resistant and has an aesthetically pleasing overall appearance
